BIRMINGHAM, UK - 15th July 2005 - TRW Conekt is delighted to announce the launch of electric power steering (EPS) technology for motorsport applications. Using its applications engineering expertise, TRW Conekt has developed the widely used and well-proven EPS technology offered by TRW for use in the motorsport industry.
TRW Conekt has been working closely with a number of motorsport teams to provide sponsorship in the form of technical support programmes. Through these programmes, it has been able to trial EPS with low volume race-car manufacturers.

The performance and steering feel from the EPS system is highly rated, vehicles are being driven faster for longer through the reduction of driver fatigue. The steering column mounted electro-mechanical system is light, independent of the engine and efficient though its provision of 'On Demand Assist' With the steering tuning support offered, the optimum balance between the steering feel and level of assist is achieved for each vehicle.
