Hybrids

Conekt has been associated with the development of hybrid and electric vehicles for a number of years. In the 1980's under the Lucas Research banner a major and pioneering programme was undertaken on small electric commercial vehicles. This programme provided a foundation in this area for the company in a number of ways and strongly links to the Drives capability.

In 1999 we facilitated the report for the DTI entitled EMPACT focused on the requirements and market for light commercial vehicles in Europe over the next 20 years.

Conekt has been an active and founder member of the DTI Foresight Initiatives including the Alternatives fuelled vehicle thematic group, and is also a founder member of Cenex: the new Low Carbon COE.

To discuss these or any other commercial vehicle requirements, please contact our Business Development Team.
