BIRMINGHAM, UK 23rd October 2006 Conekt, the engineering consultancy arm of TRW Automotive, is holding an electro magnetic compatibility Surgery for industry on Tuesday 28th November. The one day, free of charge, event will be held at Conekt's UK Technical Centre in Solihull, West Midlands.
The event follows on from Conekt's recent UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accreditation for its aerospace indirect lightning and high intensity radiated field (HIRF) test facilities, and a one million euro investment in free-field HIRF and high intensity lightning strike test systems.
Visitors are being invited to view Conekt's EMC facilities, and see the latest equipment in action, as well as talk with Conekt's EMC experts about the design and test issues they face.
Chris Tarling, business manager, for Conekt's Engineering Services, commented: "Conekt's aerospace "Centre of Excellence" now offers a market-leading breadth of accredited aerospace EMC test services in the UK, meeting specific requirements from the industry's major clients.
"The surgery is our way of opening everyone's eyes to our flexible EMC service, fully capable of cost effectively meeting DO-160E as well as Airbus and Joint Strike Fighter requirements on one site. Both our HIRF and lightning facilities are fully-mobile, enabling Conekt to support testing where it is not practical to move the client's product."
Conekt's Engineering Services Division is a fully accredited design, development and product validation consultancy in the UK, USA and China. It specialises in the analysis and validation of products, concepts and systems.
The surgery will be held on Tuesday 28th November 2006 at TRW Conekt, Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull, B90 4GW. (map)
