FUTURE TRENDS IN AEROSPACE EMC - A ONE DAY SEMINAR
TRW Conekt, Solihull, West Midlands
June 2006

As part of Conekt's centre of excellence for validation in the aerospace industry, it has announced a series of one-day seminars to be hosted at it head office in Solihull, West Midlands.   The first seminar will focus upon 'future trends in aerospace electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC)' and is aimed at improving knowledge transfer across the aerospace industry.

The event will take place in June, and welcomes guest speakers from a selection of highly respected organisations in the industry.  The programme will consider future industry regulations as well as political and environmental factors and the consequent threats and opportunities that may arise.  The seminar will incorporate a full day programme including lunch and refreshments, with an opportunity for networking with industry professionals.

Chris Tarling, Business Manager for Engineering Services, Conekt, commented, "Suppliers and manufacturers in the aerospace industry are facing continuous pressure to meet increasing regulatory requirements and demands.  In order to remain competitive, companies must be proactive in predicting, and adapting to, future developments in the industry. As a leading test and validation centre in the UK, Conekt understands these challenges and has invested in the development of an aerospace centre of excellence supporting key technology development. These seminars are an important way of encouraging an awareness of, and fostering discussion in future developments in the complex field of validation engineering."

The seminar programme will be confirmed shortly, however, speakers currently include EMC specialists from BAE Systems, Goodrich, EMC Partner and Conekt.  As an active member of the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC), Conekt has also invited a representative from the UK's national trade association for the industry to chair the event.

The seminar is free of charge.  If you would like to receive further information, please contact James Godwin on james.godwin@trw.com.
