Higher Voltage Success

HIGHER VOLTAGE SUCCESS!

COVENTRY, UK - 28th November 2003 -
The Higher Voltage Seminar at TRW Conekt, Birmingham took place on the 27th November 2003. More than 70 delegates attended the seminar to learn about the forthcoming changes in the automotive industry with the introduction of 42 volts.

The seminars were organised by Warwick Control Technologies, in collaboration with TRW Conekt, the European Automotive Initiative Group and Warwick Manufacturing Group, and aimed to assist in managing the transition from the current 12/14volt standard to the 36/42volt standard, as well as adapting to the changes imposed by drive-by-wire systems.

Presentations were given by: Alan G. Williams, Electrical Systems Manager, TRW Conekt; Dr Gordon Smith, Projects Manager, Warwick Manufacturing Group; Chris Quigley, Managing Director, Warwick Control Technologies, and Dr. Paul Faithful, Potenza Technology. As well as presentations given by specialists in higher voltage technology, the seminars provided an opportunity to see a 42volt demonstrator vehicle.

Conekt has received some very good feedback from the event, with comments including: "A most enjoyable event", "A good forum for discussing 42V issues" and "Very interesting presentation on 42volt advanced technologies". If you wish to find out more about higher voltage, or would like to register to attend the forthcoming seminars in the North West, London or South Wales, visit www.42volt.org.uk.
