The Conekt Segway HT experience
Birmingham, UK - 24th March 2005 - On the 16th March Conekt had a visit from Silicon Sensing and a representative from their parent organisation BAE Systems to present some of their current and future product technology. As an example of the application of the Silicon Sensing expertise, two Segway Human Transporter (HT) systems were made available for Conekt Staff to experience.
The Segway HT was the result of collaboration between Silicon Sensing and Segway. It is the first self-balancing, electric-powered transportation device designed as an alternative to short-distance car trips. With dimensions no larger than the average adult body and the ability to emulate human balance, the Segway HT uses the same space as a pedestrian.
Silcon Sensing products are used in a wide variety of applications from model helicopters to military vehicles including TRW advanced vehicle stability systems.
