UNMANNED AIR VEHICLES: AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE MIDLANDS SUPPLY CHAIN!
Conekt, the Engineering Consultancy arm of TRW Conekt, and the MAA (Midlands Aerospace Alliance) is holding a seminar on the subject of Autonomous air vehicles.
The event will take place on Wednesday 24 January at Conekt's Engineering and Test facilities in Solihull. Five leading industry speakers will provide an overview of UAV technology and allow participants to learn about future opportunities in the design and manufacture of UAVs.
The market for civil unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) is expected to grow significantly beyond 2009/10 as air traffic integration and certification issues are addressed. It has been estimated that the European market for civilian UAVs will be worth 100M Euro by 2010 and 270M Euro by 2015. These aircraft will perform a large number of roles including Earth observation, telecommunications, maritime surveillance and law enforcement.
